A belief system is comprised of the i nter-related beliefs associated with situations that have been integrated into a world view

Comments:
to act "in thought" corresponds to Kenneth Burke's conception of "symbolic action" in The Philosophy of Literary Form. In more contemporary terms, to act symbolically is to conceptualize or construe a situation from a particular perspective.
